The science of reading, writing, and learning has given us a clearer path. My work advances that science and moves it into usable practice so educators, schools, and systems can focus on what works and let go of what doesn't.
I study what works in literacy and what it takes to make that work in real classrooms. Through intervention research, professional learning, consulting, and implementation partnerships, I bring evidence into schools and learn alongside the educators using it. Those lessons return to my research, sharpening the questions I ask, the interventions I develop, and the evidence we build.
The result is work that is rigorous, usable, and continually refined where it matters most. Let's get to work.
